Full Time Finance Assistant
Under the direction of the Chief Finance Officer and Deputy Chief Finance Officer, the Finance Assistant will be responsible for the reconciliation of accounts, assistance in the preparation of various budget reports, monitoring of fixed asset listing and maintenance, billing and collections of various shared service agreements, preparation of bill lists, handling of cash receipts, accounts receivable/payable and other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent computer and interpersonal and communication skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook. A minimum of one (1) year experience in accounts payable/finance. Two (2) years of specialized course work in accounts, general office practices, or data processing with increasing responsible related experience. Willingness to obtain NJ Qualified Purchasing Agent (QPA) certification within two years.
Understanding of NJ municipal accounting and terminology and prior municipal finance experience preferred. Knowledge of Edmunds software a plus. This is a full time (40 hours per week – non union) position.

ELECTRICAL SUB CODE INSPECTOR/OFFICIAL
The Township of Hamilton is seeking a full time Electrical Sub Code Inspector/Official. Under the direction of the construction Code Official the inspector will perform a variety of routine and complex technical building inspection work to ensure that the Uniform Construction Code, the National Electric Code and other related codes and standards are met. Thorough knowledge of National Electrical codes or related general construction codes, and a thorough knowledge of commercial and residential electrical systems. Successful candidate will have some knowledge of plumbing, carpentry work, or mechanical systems, ability to effectively inspect electrical systems. Knowledge of Spatial Data Logic software is preferred. Graduation from high school or GED equivalent; as required by the Uniform Construction Code section. Valid New Jersey Driver’s License. Must hold HHS Level Uniform Construction Code Electrical Sub-Code Official license and be competent in application plan review. Preference will be given to applicants who possess additional UCC certifications. Deadline to apply – until position is filled.
