Full Time Finance Assistant

Under the direction of the Chief Finance Officer and Deputy Chief Finance Officer, the Finance Assistant will be responsible for the reconciliation of accounts, assistance in the preparation of various budget reports, monitoring of fixed asset listing and maintenance, billing and collections of various shared service agreements, preparation of bill lists, handling of cash receipts, accounts receivable/payable and other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent computer and interpersonal and communication skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook. A minimum of one (1) year experience in accounts payable/finance. Two (2) years of specialized course work in accounts, general office practices, or data processing with increasing responsible related experience.  Willingness to obtain NJ Qualified Purchasing Agent (QPA) certification within two years.
Understanding of NJ municipal accounting and terminology and prior municipal finance experience preferred.  Knowledge of Edmunds software a plus. This is a full time (40 hours per week – non union) position.

Full Time Construction Clerk

Under the direction of the Construction Code Official and Construction Office Manager, the Construction Clerk provides assistance in the issuance of construction permits to ensure compliance with the provisions of the NJ Uniform Construction Code and administrative support to the Fire/Housing Official as required.  Successful candidate must have demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.  Working knowledge of Spatial Data Logic software is a plus.  Must have the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.  Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position covered under Collective Bargaining Agreement.  Salary as indicated per contract.

Full-Time Clerk / Community Development

 

The Twp. of Hamilton is hiring a Full-time Clerk in the Office of Community Development to provide clerical support in the administration of the Township's planning and zoning process. Position performs a variety of routine and complex clerical functions including: transcription of Planning and Zoning Board meeting minutes, compiling/mailing of meeting packets, assists in the coordination of board workshops, posting escrow to appropriate accounts and processing payment vouchers.

Two (2) years experience in related office environment preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Excel required. Experience using Spatial Data Logic and Edmunds software preferred. Must have the ability to effectively meet and interact with the public in a professional and courteous manner. Must be willing to obtain Board Secretary Certification.

TRUCK DRIVER/LABORER - - TWP. OF HAMILTON (ATLANTIC) The Twp. of Hamilton (Atlantic County) is seeking a Full-time Truck Driver/Laborer.  This is a 40 hour per week, non-exempt, Union classified position in the Public Works Department.  Applicants must have the ability to perform manual labor for extended period of time in varying weather conditions.  Skill in the safe operation of various hand tools and lawn equipment is essential.  MUST possess valid NJ Driver’s License with a minimum CDL B endorsement.  Successful applicant must pass background check and pre-employment physical/drug screen.
