Hamilton Township Hometown Heroes Banner Program

 The Hometown Heroes Banner Program has reached capacity for 2025. Please check back in the Spring for updates.

 

 

Hamilton Township is accepting applications for the 2025 Hometown Heroes Banner Program. The program honors current or former Hamilton Residents or their family members who have served or are serving our country in the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard or Space Force (Army and Air National Guard included.) Proof of military service may be required.

Banners will be displayed on utility poles along Hamilton’s downtown Main Street. The exact banner locations are at the township’s discretion.  Residents may sponsor a banner for $185.00 each, which covers production costs.

Banners are 24” X 48”. They include the name and photo of the service member, the military branch served and the banner’s sponsor’s name. For 2025, banners will be hung from on or about July 4 through mid-November, at which time they will be taken down and may be picked up by the sponsor. The banner application process will restart in the Spring of 2026, when a new round of banners will be produced and installed.

Requirements:

  • The service member/veteran must be a current or former Hamilton Township resident or family member.
  • Applicants must provide a high-resolution digital image (.png or .jpg) or photograph.
  • Applicants must turn in a completed application form, photo
  • Applicants must deliver payment (personal check made out to Township of Hamilton and reference Hometown Heroes on the check) to the Hamilton Township Administrator’s office at 6101 Thirteenth Street
    Mays Landing, NJ 08330.

There are a limited number of available spots for the banners and application request is on a first-come basis among qualified applicants. If the number of qualified applicants exceeds the number of banner spaces, they will be placed on a waiting list for display in the following year or a future date.

Please note: Hamilton Township is not responsible for replacing banners that are stolen, damaged or destroyed. Damaged banners may be removed at the discretion of the Township of Hamilton without notice.
